PWA has appointed Italconsult, together with other six (6) world class consultants, as General Engineering Consultant (GEC) for undertaking consultancy and engineering services and any other related services required under the Local Roads and Drainage Programme. The GEC may be assigned projects or other pre-determined project related duties at any, and/or all stages of a project`s development, from the development of design options and Concept Design, to Construction Supervision and Close Out.

The Qatari Public Works Authority (ASHGHAL) has appointed Italconsult, together with other six (6) world class consultants, as General Engineering Consultant (GEC) for undertaking consultancy and engineering services and any other related services required under the Local Roads and Drainage Programme (LR&DP).

LR&DP is a nationwide programme that includes the development of roads, drainage and new infrastructure in all areas of Qatar to raise the standard of living for all citizens and residents. The programme will provide a comprehensive infrastructure for new areas that lack facilities, in addition to developing and enhancing existing infrastructure in central and suburban areas. The programme will increase the capacity of roads and utility services to meet the requirements of the continuous urban development. The programme also includes the construction of link roads that connect villages and towns across the country

The GEC may be assigned projects or other pre-determined project related duties at any, and/or all stages of a project`s development, from the development of design options and Concept Design, to Construction Supervision and Close Out.

Provided services include Data Collection, Planning, Coordination, Liaising with Project Stakeholders and PWA’s other Contractors, Geotechnical and other Site Investigations, Reviewing of Building Permits and Road Opening Applications and their Required Reinstatements, Review and Inspection of Temporary Traffic Diversions Executed by others for the PWA, Option Studies, Risk Management Studies, Design, Preparation of Tender Documents, Tendering, Contract Management and Administration, Construction Supervision, Quantity Surveying, Project Close Out and Maintenance Period Duties, and Task Orientated Consultancy Services.
